I channelled Lisa today. My boys woke up cranky today. Technically, ButterBoy woke up crabby and then it rubbed off on Lil Guy who quickly turned into the Hot Tamale. Hisss…

And I had things to do. First, we had to get TTops new glasses. We went. ButterBoy refused to follow directions. Lil Guy doesn’t like to be alone so he followed him around and got into his trouble.

Then we stopped at a greenhouse. And Lil Guy decided to run full force into ButterBoy and body slammed him angrily in the middle of the parking lot. So I had Lil Guy sit outside the entrance where I can keep an eye on him. After a few minutes he runs away. Nice.

Anyway, it all went downhill from there and I still had a few more things I needed to do. Keep in mind I am still moving slow, hobbling basically. I can’t be jogging after little kids. This stuff really doesn’t bother me so I’m not stressed, just thinking on how I can change it up. So, after more stuff happens, we pay for our plants and go back to the car.

After the boys are buckled up, I tell them to roll down their windows. I told them that some nasty crabby and attitude is following them around and they need to take that Crabby and throw it as hard as they can out the window. They do it and I peel out of the parking lot. I look at them in the rearview mirror and say I am pretty sure I just ran crabby over. They busted out in giggles. So far so good.

Then I tell them to take Attitude and throw it as hard as they can out the window. This time they are all dramatic about it, pretending to wrestle fake people in the back seat and then throw them out the window. I pump the brakes and say, “Feel that? I ran Attitude over to.” They cheer. And they are pretty nice for the rest of the day.

Freakin’ miracle. Anytime, I notice some crabby or attitude sneaking in I remind them to throw it out the window and they do. We had a fabulous day and they were rewarded with a swim in the lake and blueberry picking.

Love it.
